It also offers a de-fragmentation option that optimizes the registry and enhances its performance. Its features also include creating a backup of the registry. This is helpful when your registry gets corrupted, you face more registry errors, or there are unintentional deletions. You just restore the backed up registry to get your PC functional again.
The Free Version
The free version of the Chily Registry Cleaner is a demo version. Downloading and installing it on your computer is a very easy process. This version scans your computer and lists all errors present in its registry along with their risk profiles. The tool creates an automatic backup of your computer’s registry and saves it in the hard disk at a safe location. The backup is always helpful if there is an inadvertent removal of any entry from the registry. Through the inbuilt de-fragmentation option in the application, you can also de-fragment the system’s registry. This enables the system to become more stabilized and enhances its performance. Every process of registry cleaning by this application creates a backup of the registry. The backup can always be restored, if required, in case an error occurs in the registry. Chily Registry Cleaner has a privacy management option that allows you to remove all records of activity history in your computer. It removes all traces of what you have done and the sites you have visited. Among many of the errors it removes from the registry are: Active X errors, System 32 and IE errors, OLE errors, and MUI reference errors. The complete process is fully automated. That's the biggest upside to this application.
The Positives
The Chily registry cleaner is a user-friendly application. It does a good job of cleaning the registry and optimizing its performance. It automatically creates a registry backup after every cleaning process. It clears all records of your history and removes a number of errors from the registry. The de-fragmentation option does a great job of de-fragmentation of the registry.
The Negatives
The free version does not do much besides just listing the errors. It is a stand alone Registry cleaner and does not come with any additional PC maintenance software. During the un-installation it can leave behind a few files and directories. This is true of many other registry cleaners as well.
The Verdict
The Chily registry cleaner, despite the problem of not cleaning up complete traces of programs from the registry, is a good application. It's a wonderful application to help increase the speed of your computer’s system. It scans for errors and repairs all registry errors quickly, enhancing the overall performance. It optimizes the registry. It's a safe application to use on your computer to enhance its performance.
